Jimmy Richards & Sons Excavating is Hiring a Project Accountant Near Waldorf, MD

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team. As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our projects. Your expertise in budgeting, financial accounting, and financial management will contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines
- Monitor project expenses and track variances against budget
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders
- Perform accrual accounting and ensure timely and accurate recording of project-related transactions
- Collaborate with project managers to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support audits as needed

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices
- Experience with financial accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
